2026 Senior Basketball Competition

Nominations are now open for the 2026 Senior Basketball Competition, tipping off in May 2026 at PCYC Young.

Competition Details

Night: Tuesdays
Venue: PCYC Young
Season Length: 18 weeks (including finals to be determined based on team nominations)
Competition Start Date: Tuesday 5 May 2026

Key Dates

Fees & Registration

Player Registration: $200 per player PLUS individual registration with Basketball NSW

Team Requirements:
- Minimum 7 registered players required for a team to be considered financial
- Maximum 12 players per team
Important Registration Information:
- All players must complete their individual Basketball NSW registration prior to taking the court
- Players who are not financial or not registered cannot be added to the tablet scoring system and will not be permitted to play

Team Requirements

Jerseys: Must be reversible (home & away)
Eligibility for finals: Players must play 50% of games
Each team will be rostered to complete bench duty, and failure to fulfil this obligation may result in penalties, including loss of competition points

Game Format & Rules

Referees – Important Information

Each team must nominate one referee who is willing to complete the C1 referees qualifications.
Teams will not be entered into the competition if they have not supplied a nominated referee or have a minimum of 7 players.
