2026 Senior Basketball Competition

Nominations are now open for the 2026 Senior Basketball Competition, tipping off in August 2026 at PCYC Young.

Competition Details

• Night: Tuesdays
• Venue: PCYC Young
• Season Length: 10 week competition with 3 weeks of finals
• Competition Start Date: Tuesday 25th August 2026
   

Key Dates

• Team Nominations Close: Friday 14th August 2026
• Team/individual Registration Close: Friday 21st August 2026
   

Fees & Registration

• Player Registration:  $150 per player PLUS individual registration with Basketball NSW

• Important Registration Information:
  • All players must complete their individual Basketball NSW registration prior to taking the court
  • Players who are not financial or not registered cannot be added to the tablet scoring system and will not be permitted to play

Team Requirements

• Minimum 7 registered players required for a team to be considered financial
• Maximum 12 players per team
• Eligibility for finals: Players must play 50% of games
• Each team will be rostered to complete bench duty, and failure to fulfil this obligation may result in penalties, including loss of competition points

Referees – Important Information

• Each team must nominate one referee who is willing to complete the C1 referees qualifications. 
• Teams will not be entered into the competition if they have not supplied a nominated referee or have a minimum of 7 players.

Please note that competition will only go ahead if we get a minimum of 6 teams nominated.
